Rothy’s, which crafts sustainable styles inspired by women across the globe, has been impact-driven since its inception in 2012. The company utilizes a proprietary blend of marine plastic and Rothy’s signature thread, which is spun from single-use (45+ million and counting!) water bottles. Recently, Rothy’s announced its Open Innovation Coalition, which was created to meet the immediate needs of these uncertain times. They have open-sourced their mask-making knowledge with other manufacturers who are interested in producing relief items and have partnered with nearly 20 brands to further their impact. We are thrilled to welcome over 30 interns to Greenspring this summer and will be highlighting our new team members over the course of their time with us. Join us this week in welcoming Rhane Jones, Emma Sun and Kevin Fogarty! Rhane is a rising senior at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. As a Business Intelligence Intern, Rhane is assisting with the data and workflow automation processes at GA. He hopes to learn more about Greenspring's investment strategies throughout the summer. Emma is joining Greenspring this summer as an Investment Team member. Emma attends Johns Hopkins University where she will be a senior this fall. She is a part of the Johns Hopkins Newspaper where she focuses on highlighting art around the Baltimore community. Emma has a true passion for venture and is excited to build connections and learn from her Greenspring colleagues this summer. Kevin is a rising senior at University of Virginia and is a member of the Club Basketball team on campus. As a part of the Investment team, Kevin is looking forward to learning more about the venture ecosystem and becoming a dynamic, adaptable team member.
