Israeli-based startup Papaya Global, which provides cloud-based payroll and hiring, onboarding and compliance services across 140 countries for organizations that employ full-time, part-time and contract workers outside of their home country, has raised $100 million in recent financing with participation from Greenspring managers Bessemer Venture Partners and Scale Venture Partners. The demand for data governance, privacy and security tools is growing as more data and more data is shifted to the cloud. Privacera, a data privacy startup, has recently raised $50 million in financing with the help of GA manager Accel to help extend their cloud-based data services. Snyk, an application security developer, raised $300 million in a funding round with participation from GA managers Accel and Boldstart. Read more here.

Never would our founder’s grandfather have imagined when he invested in Reaction Motors, which powered the plane that broke the sound barrier, that his grandson’s firm would finance a company that has opened access to space.
